Judge James T. Giles Appointed to Oversee Federal Asbestos MDL

PHILADELPHIA -- Chief Judge James T. Giles of the U.S. District Court of Pennsylvania has been assigned by the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to succeed Judge Charles Weiner as the judge overseeing the Federal Asbestos MDL. In re: Asbestos Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 875 (E.D. Pa.).

According to an order released Dec. 6 by the JPML, Judge Giles volunteered to accept reassignment of the asbestos docket.
