Asbestos Plaintiffs Settle Claims after Jury Selection

ANGLETON, Texas -- Asbestos plaintiffs in Texas have reached a confidential settlement with defendants one day after jury selection took place in the Texas 329th Judicial District for Brazoria County. Thompson, et al. v. DaimlerChrysler Corp., et al., No. 22615 (Texas 239th Judicial Dist., Brazoria Cty.).

Sources said there were six defendants remaining in the case at the time of the Oct. 13 settlement. The plaintiffs' 10th amended complaint lists DamilerChyrsler Corp., Dana Corp., Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., Guard-Line Inc., and Honeywell International Inc. as defendants.
