Calif. Trial Involving Cosmetic Asbestos Talcum Powder Claims Enters Eighth Week

SAN FRANCISCO –– Jurors in a California trial involving Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder products heard testimony from Dr. Matthew Sanchez this week, according to minutes entered on the court’s online docket.

The Minutes from the Aug. 10 proceedings in the California Superior Court for Alameda County noted that a juror had dropped off of the Zoom proceedings, interrupting the trial for several minutes.

The trial is in its eighth week of trial, which began with opening statements on June 15. Hon. Stephen Kaus is presiding over the trial.
