Miss. Court Allows Claims of Certified B-Reader Against Ankura to Proceed, Dismisses Negligence Allegations

JACKSON, Miss. –– A Mississippi federal court has rejected efforts to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a certified B-Reader accusing Ankura Consulting Group of intentionally designing an audit so that he failed it, concluding that the plaintiff had asserted allegations sufficient to state a claim.

In a Jan. 11 opinion and order, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi did dismiss causes of action for negligence and gross negligence after concluding that “he detrimentally relied on Defendant’s audit.”
