Ky. Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for J&J, Colgate-Palmolive at Conclusion of Asbestos Talc Trial




LOUISVILLE, Ky. –– A Kentucky jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of Johnson & Johnson and Colgate-Palmolive at the conclusion of an asbestos-containing talcum powder trial, rejecting the plaintiffs’ position that the decedent developed mesothelioma as a result of using Cashmere Bouquet and Shower-to-Shower.

The Kentucky 30th Judicial District Court for Jefferson County jury reached the verdict on Aug. 2 after less than one hour of deliberation.

Judge Angela McCormick Bisig presided over the trial, which began on July 17.

The claims were brought on behalf of Donna Hayes, who was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2016. The …
