HarrisMartin: Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for J&J in Asbestos Talc Trial




NEWARK, N.J. — A New Jersey jury has reached a defense verdict at the conclusion of an asbestos talcum powder trial against Johnson & Johnson, HarrisMartin is reporting.

The New Jersey Superior Court for Middlesex County reached the verdict just moments ago after less than one day of deliberations.

Closing arguments in the case began on Oct. 10. The parties delivered opening statements of the three-and-a-half week trial on Sept. 17.

The plaintiffs in the underlying case alleged that Rosalind Henry developed malignant mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos fibers in Baby Powder, Johnson & Johnson’s …
