La. Court Grants Honeywell’s Unopposed Motion for Summary Judgment in Asbestos Case

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has granted a motion for summary judgment filed by Honeywell International in an asbestos case noting that, while the motion was unopposed by the plaintiff, there is merit in that there are no material facts at issue.

In the Aug. 15 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana took into account Honeywell’s position that the plaintiffs had failed to produce evidence that the decedent had been exposed to products produced by a predecessor company.
