Wash. Federal Court Awards Summary Judgment to Pfizer in Asbestos Case

TACOMA, Wash. –– A Washington federal court has awarded summary judgment to Pfizer in an asbestos case, finding that a relationship alone between the defendant and Quigley Co. Inc. does not mean Pfizer produced the asbestos-containing products at issue.

In the Jan. 12 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington further opined that the plaintiffs had failed to produce evidence that Pfizer was in the chain of distribution of the allegedly harmful products.
