Pa. Supreme Court Denies Petition to Appeal Order Transferring Bethlehem Steel Asbestos Cases

PHILADELPHIA –– The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has denied a petition for allowance to appeal an intermediate appellate court order in which an order transferring a number of asbestos cases from Philadelphia County to Northampton County was affirmed.

The state high court denied the petition on Dec. 3 in a one-page order, allowing to stand a decision that determined the cases belonged in Northampton County because that was where the exposure allegedly occurred, where the medical records resided, and where, prior, related litigation was ongoing.
