ITT Denied Summary Judgment in Indemnification Dispute with Metso Automation

BOSTON — A Massachusetts federal judge has denied ITT Corp.’s motion for summary judgment in its dispute with Metso Automation USA Inc. over indemnification for asbestos-related personal injury suits, finding, among other things, issues of fact concerning the shipment date of the asbestos-containing products.

On Nov. 27, Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts allowed Metso to file a response under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 56(d).
