Ill. Federal Court Denies Georgia-Pacific’s Motion for More Definite Statement in Asbestos Case

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –– An Illinois federal court has denied Georgia-Pacific’s motion for a more definite statement in an asbestos case, saying the plaintiff’s allegations gave fair notice to the defendant of the claims.

In a Nov. 13, three-page order, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois said that the details in the lawsuit are not so vague and ambiguous that Georgia-Pacific would not be able to prepare a response.
