Parties Respond to Amici Briefs in California Component Parts Dispute

SAN FRANCISCO -- The parties involved in a component parts dispute pending in California's highest court have filed responses to amici briefs, reinforcing their individual stances on whether defendants in an asbestos action can be held liable for replacement packing and/or insulation. O'Neil, et al., v. Crane Co., et al., No. S177401 (Calif. Sup. Ct.).

According to the California Supreme Court's online docket, defendant Warren Pumps and Crane Co. filed responses to amici briefs backing the plaintiffs on Sept. 21 and 23, while the plaintiffs challenged defense-supported amici briefs on Sept. 23.
