Loreto Rufo, Rufo Associates, P.A., Wilmington, DE Show/Hide Bio

Loreto Rufo

attended the Delaware Law School (now known as the Widener University School of Law) and graduated from that program in December 1987. He was promptly admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of Delaware, and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and he maintains those admissions to date. After a few years of association with local insurance defense firms, Larry established The Law Offices of Loreto P. Rufo, a firm that prospered for more than a decade before merging into a respected and established general practice firm. In 2003, Larry launched what is now known as Rufo Associates, PA as the vehicle by which Larry's many years of experience in the trial and litigation fields would be offered to clients.

Larry brings many different perspectives and levels of experience into his professional endeavors. In addition to decades of actual trial and litigation experience, he has insight into the internal workings of the court system gained from his years as a court administrator. Having served as Alderman for the City of Newark, Larry has the benefit of appreciating the view from the bench. Finally, having practiced in small as well as large firms, Larry is able to merge practice styles to offer his clients the very best of all worlds.

In addition to representing a number of individual defendants, Larry serves by appointment of the Court as Defense Coordinating Counsel and Defense Medical Coordinator in the Delaware Asbestos Litigation. His practice focuses on complex litigation and on litigation and trials of toxic, complex, and business torts.
