Judge Orders GSK to Produce Advertising Costs, Profits

MILWAUKEE - In a Paxil injury case, a Wisconsin federal judge has ordered GlaxoSmithKline to produce information relating to sums it spent on advertising, promotional materials, or educational programs distributed or held in Wisconsin between January 2000 and December 2004. Forst v. Smithkline Beecham Corp., No. 07-CV-612 (E.D. Wis.).
On Nov. 18, Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin also ordered GSK to produce documents regarding profits from the sale of Paxil in Wisconsin, ruling that it is relevant to the plaintiffs' punitive damages claims.
